Default General Failure & Not TrueType error when embedding fonts

I recently upgraded from Office 2010 to Office 2016 on my PC. When I open PPT presentations that were created in PPT 2010, and try to save them, I get errors about the fonts not being able to embed (general failure & not a truetype font). When I create a brand new PPT presentation and use any of these fonts, I have no problems embedding them. I also have no issues with embedded fonts in Word. It only happens with the PPT presentations that already existed when I upgraded from 2010 to 2016. These are fonts that are widely used within my company with no issue. I've attached a screenshot of the error I'm getting. Any suggestions?
