Hello
All thank you for looking at my issue. I have been trying to sort this for over two weeks now and I have identified the video file as the issue, and that being the codec use when the video was first created.
I have recoded the video and changed it to other file types and tried powerpoint 2007, 2010 and 2016 and I can say with confidence the issue is not me.
I have found a fix, instead of altering the video file, I used LibreOffice and it worked, I had to recreate the presentation in LibreOffice and play with the advance timing and it plays the presentation and advances past the video slide and loops it all.
