Pardon me for dredging up ancient software issues on obsolete OS's but it's what I have for now and need to continue working with it until I upgrade soon.
I am using Microsoft Office 2000, primarily Excel & Word. I have a specific task that utilizes both of these programs simultaneously. I have a spreadsheet employing hyperlinks to Word documents by file name. When I click a hyperlink to open the Word document I need to pull information from, Excel minimizes to the task bar. I'm having to mouse down and maximize Excel every other action. Every single entry in this spreadsheet is created from info pulled from the relevant Word document.
It's driving me insane to have to constantly maximize the Excel spreadsheet to work.

Anyone have a suggestion to stop the minimizing??
