So when I try to copy and paste text from certain other programs it pastes it in italics. On one program if I elect to keep source formatting or merge it, it results in a text that is completely italicized. On another program this only happens if I elect to merge formatting. Keeping original formatting in that instance is fine. If I keep only the text it removes the italics, but then I lose all formatting, which I don't want.

I thought it may have been one of the software programs I work with, but when I started noticing it on the other one today I was certain this is a problem with Word 2016.

I have tried changing the default, but it didn't work. I've also tried deleting the regkey to try and return Word back to its original settings but it didn't work. The only thing it seemed to do was remove my recent history.
