There are no "techs" here. The responses you are getting are from your fellow users, who may have more experience with these matters than you do.

  1. Go to the page you want to be page 1. Go to the beginning of the first line.
  2. In the Page Layout Tab, choose breaks and insert a Next Page Section Break.
  3. Then go to the Insert tab and under page numbers, choose format page numbers.
  4. Tell it to start page numbering at 1.
  5. Go into your header or footer where you want the page number and tell Word to insert a page number at the current position.
