I apologize for my delayed reply, macropod. I pressed Alt+F9 (pretty cool, by the way, I did not know about this function) in the Word document and at the spot where my email address is located it shows
{ HYPERLINK "mailto:myemailaddress"
}, but my
Objectives and mission statement, directly below that, remain untouched.
I was thinking about opening up the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat and trying the same method you suggested. I'm confused as to why this glitch only shows up in the PDF version, but the original Word document remains unscathed.
EDIT: In the PDF version of my resume, when I hover over the mission statement itself the popup box reads, "mailto:myphonenumbermyemailaddressObjectivesmymis sionstatementinitsentireity.ProfessionalExperience cashier"
EDIT: I'm wondering if maybe the fact that I've organized each section of text into columns is causing this glitch in the PDF and not the Word document. I was taught to use columns in my resume in a computer class I took through a job services company. Our teacher explained that having a simple resume divided into columns makes it easier for the eye to read because it allows the eye to move from one section to the other with ease. I've kept this method of using columns in my resume and hiding these columns when I go to export it to PDF or print my resume out.
