You could use Ctrl-H instead. Traditionally, Ctrl-F opened the Edit|Find dialogue; Ctrl-H opens the Edit|Replace dialogue which provides most of the same functionality (and more) - and the old Find dialogue can be accessed from there, if you need to, via the Find tab.

To have Ctrl-F open the Edit|Find dialogue, open the Customize Keyboard dialog box (File|Options Customize Ribbon>Customize) and re-assign Ctrl-F to EditFind.
