Is there an elegant simple way to create cost projections in Microsoft Project?
Is there a simple way to show a quantity of a certain resource associated with a task. For example, I work with a lot of union workers on my projects. For one task I may use 3 pipefitters and a millwright. Further their may be a general foreman that is overseeing the task.
So a 10 hour task would include 30 manhours for the pipefitters, 10 manhours for millwrights and 5 manhours for the general foreman.
I have set up all these resources with their rates in the resources view. In the end I am interested in creating cost projections based on the manhours times rate, but I do not want to effect the overall durations of each task.
Is there an elegant system for doing this?
