Default Barcode scanner inventory check with excel 2016

I'm having a bit of trouble trying to work this out and any advise would be grateful.

I've got a barcode scanner to check inventory and i will be using excel to do this.

When I scan the item it automatically types the number and goes to the next line.

Is there a way of when I scan something in it adds what the item is in the next column, instead of just putting the number?

At the moment it just does this

Barcode
001111
001211

But i'd like it to do this

Barcode

001111 Hat
001211 Scarf

then i'd like it recognize the barcodes instead of repeating them individuall.

At the moment it does this

001111
001111
001111

i'd like it to do this instead.

001111 hat 3

I hope this makes sense, i'm kind of struggling
