It's possible, to have each user, using the same shared contact list. There is a couple of ways this can be accomplished on an exchange platform with free/busy information configured correctly.

To understand if this is possible for your organization, supply some additional info;

- Are you on an exchange platform? Preferred 2007.
- Does your hosted provider have something called Public Folders?
- Who is the owner of marketing addresses? Meaning user 1, user2, user3.
- Have you attempted to share this address book with the other users by using the permissions panel or assigning the other users as delegates to the owner of the contact list?

Providing answers to the above question will help get a better picture of your environment and could quicken resolution.
