If you're using upper-case to identify some specific type of information, perhaps a command-name, you might also consider using a character style. This will make it easier to extend the document to cover more commands, and to make simple updates such as
red to
Courier.
As for red, a) it's best reserved for warnings; b) printed, scanned or copied in b/w it will be rendered almost the same as the body text …
