If you do what I just directed, you will have a document that will not trigger the "too many errors' message. The automatic spelling checker should work fine. Each time you mark a part of the text properly in the proofing language, it will no longer show up as an error.

I would also recommend that you do as much formatting using styles rather than direct formatting. That will reduce the complexity of your file tremendously.
