Default Outlook 2010 - Mail view screen redraw problem

Hi,

When running Outlook 2010 (32bit) on Windows 7 64bit, we have noticed some odd behaviour of the Outlook 2010 client when the inbox view updates in the background when an active window is placed in front of the view. This only happens when we have Desktop Window Manager disabled (we do not use Aero for performance reasons in a densely populated compute environment).

To give an example, if I have the typical Outlook layout with the emails listed with header/subject, if I place a Windows Explorer window (or anything else), partially over the view showing the email headers, as new emails are received, anything still visible in the background within Outlook, the view fails to correctly refresh in the background. It takes someone to physically click on each of the inbox items to force the composition of the items to reflect the correct information. I have tried to enable/disable hardware acceleration but with no change.

Has anyone else seen this problem before?

Thanks

Andrew
