I want to create custom foreign language dictionaries that I can build, edit, and query, either in Word, Excel, or Access (all 2016). These connect the words and expressions in the foreign languages with their corresponding meanings in English. They are not spelling checkers.

Each dictionary (French, Spanish, German) now have about 10,000 words listed alphabetically in Word files, and they will grow with time, but present approach is becoming unwieldy.

Can this be done in Word? If not, can it be done in Excel or Access?
