Does anyone know of a way to insert a link for an Outlook contact into a Word document?

I can drag/drop the contact from Outlook into Word, which embeds a .msg icon. But clicking this icon only shows the contact info as of the time it was inserted. If I make a change to the contact in Outlook, it's not reflected when I click the .msg icon.

I think what I want is Object Linking, not Object Embedding.
