Default Placing Endnotes in the Middle of a Document

Hi,

I have a single thesis chapter that contains two distinct portions, a results section and an experimental section. Both sections contain footnotes. I would like to move all the footnotes to a references section located in-between the two sections. I have found a way to move the footnotes in the first section to the end of the first section, but I don't know how to move the footnotes from the second section also to the end of the first section (or if that is even possible).

Another option would be to convert the footnotes to plain text and then manipulate them from there, but I can't find a way to do that automatically on a Mac.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
