I purchased a great new PC. I thought I purchased a dud until I did 2 things. I stopped using Microsoft Edge and stopped using Microsoft Outlook 2016. What a difference! My preferred web browser is Opera and my preferred email client is Microsoft Outlook 2010. I have never liked the updates to Outlook 2010 but I thought Microsoft had fixed things since 2013. No, Outlook 2016 is still a slow, cumbersome crazy thing. When I switched to Outlook 2010, everything was fast. I no longer run Outlook 2016. I also stopped using Microsoft Edge. One can't uninstall Edge so I have to live with it taking up disk space on my laptop. Opera and Chrome both run fast and don't hang.
