Exclamation Word 2013's Navigation Pane does not show "level 4" headings, even when I click "Show Heading 4"

I am running Word 2013 on my macbook pro, running OS X El Capitan, v. 10.11.6.

Problem: I have a document that utilizes the default style Headings 1-4. When I open the Navigation Pane, it only lists the first three levels of headings. That is, it only shows Heading 1, Heading 2, and Heading 3.

This does not change when I right click on a heading in the Navigation Pane and select "Show Heading 4." I have closed and re-opened the document to no avail. Also, I am positive that Heading 4 is actually set up to show up has heading in the Table of Contents because I put in a Table of Contents that displays all levels of headings, including Heading 4 headings.

To be clear, this is not a problem with the Table of Contents of not showing Heading 4 headings; rather, this is a problem of the Navigation Pane not showing Heading 4 headings.

Please Note that the following "solved" problem does not work: https://www.msofficeforums.com/word/...ee-levels.html
