Forgive me on asking silly questions but I just started learning pp.

I'm trying to make a presentation by strict instructions and have questions. Please, if you can help, do so.

I'm on the picture tools format. I have selected a picture to modify. Now I'm supposed to find a place called "custom animation." But it's not here. I'm using the latest version of Powerpoint. Where is it?

Help? Please?
