That's a good suggestion but unfortunately doesn't fit my purpose exactly, which I should have explained in more detail.

I need to be able to print the forms without the highlighted areas showing up on the printing, even if the form is blank. Because the forms needs to be dual purpose, where they can be completed with hard-writing as hard copies or completed on-screen as a soft-copy.

Also a lot of the content controls contain lines made from underscores as the pre-text, so that when printed blank the user can hand-write on the line. To be honest that is another separate problem I'm facing with my forms, because the underscores are characters they cause trouble when the user completes the form on-screen. It would be better if I could have lines that the user-entered-text goes on top of instead of beside.

If only there were a fix for that glitch with the brackets on Exceptions, those highlights were perfect.
