Most likely, for wider paragraph numbers the text gets pushed to the next default tab stop. You will have to adjust the "Set tab stop at" position for you numbered items. Click in the first level 1 paragraph, click Home | Multilevel List | Define New Multilevel List and adjust the settings. See
