Windows Live Essentials 2012 will not install
Since I updated my notebook to the new Windows 10 anniversary update, I have no Windows Live Mail or Windows Live Photo Gallery, which are the only two apps I use in the Essentials package.
It started with the Windows Live Mail app not opening, then Windows Live Photo Gallery would not open images when I double clicked them, and I have Windows Photo Gallery set as my default app for opening images.
I decided to uninstall Windows Essentials 2012, but then it would not re-install. So now I do not have anything to uninstall, but when I go through the Windows Essentials 2012 setup wizard, it seems to think all the apps are installed and there are no check boxes to check next to any of the apps. The only button available is "Close" at the bottom of the setup box.
Is there a way to purge my notebook of any hidden remnants or files or registry keys for Windows Live Essentials 2012 that would enable re-installation. And oh yes, it is no longer listed in Programs and Features.
