thank you for your reply. I was still not able to print within the fillin fields prompting firstly when I clicked File > Print and then again when I actually pressed the Print Button.

I did however continue to experiment and did find out what was causing the problem. I had set the fillin fields up in a table in the header of the document. When I copied the table from the the header and pasted it into the main body of the document, the problem was solved.

For some reason you cannot put fillin fields into the header of a document which you could in 2003.
