Restoring Outlook Email/Contacts/Calendar Following Windows 10 Re-install
After I experienced recurrent BSOD errors on my computer following my Windows 10 upgrade, I used the option to re-install Windows 10, while removing all of my applications (including Microsoft Outlook 2010) but retaining my data.
After re-installing Outlook 2010, I imported the .pst file in my /Documents/Outlook directory following the process I found on the internet boards.
- Email: Once this was complete, I had all of my old email/folders, but listed under my email account address rather than in my main Inbox.
- Contacts: My contacts did not appear in my list; but I was able to locate them in a separate list and copy/paste them into my main contacts list.
- Calendar: Although my calendar appears to be blank, I do receive reminder notices for events that were in my calendar.
Did I follow the import process incorrectly?
Is there a way to import *just* my contacts and/or my calendar entries?
Is there a way to undo the import/start again so that my email, contacts and calendar entries are all where they are supposed to be?
All advice/assistance is much appreciated.
