Project 2013 versus 2016

Hi,

I want to learn project.

I have a book (basiccourse for 2013). I can use the program ms project 2016.

Should this compare? I mean the learning book ms project 2013 and the program ms project 2016?
I mean are the views, screens etc the same and also on the same place in the version 2013 and 2016?
