Default

  1. Select what you want to be AutoText.
  2. Press Alt + F3 to open the save dialog.
  3. Choose:
  • The name. The suggested name may not be the best one. You want something unique and at least 4 character.
  • The template you will save this in (the default setting is the normal template)
  • The Gallery (AutoText)
  • and the Category
In Word 2010 if you save your AutoText in the normal.dotm template, you will be able to use the AutoComplete feature of AutoText. Otherwise you will need to use the F3 key.
