Updates - restoring many to a new install
We were forced to abandon a failed drive and start using an older drive with Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit) installed and working. We lost no data because we had good backups. What we DID LOSE was more than a year of "Updates" to the Win7 and MS Office Installation.
We went ahead and installed a newer version of OFFICE so updates to it are not a problem.
But the SYSTEM updates show over 200 "Important" updates in the list. I have enough experience with Windows to know better than to try to do that many. So HOW do I determine which to do...and in WHAT ORDER? Oldest first? Newest first?
I really would rather NOT move on to Win10, and I am not positive the workhorse machine involved would "move" up anyway. It's powerful and configured to do the jobs it needs to do, but it's not a SOA machine.
Thanks for thoughts and input.
