Default Duplicate e-mail issue

I forward a number of e-mail accounts (via 'move' rules) to a unified inbox. I get a large number of e-mails each day that show up in the unified inbox folder and their respective pop and imap folders. This creates duplicates that I have to delete from unified inbox and the individual account folders. Is there any way to either avoid the duplication or delete both copies at the same time?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
