Default Show complete file name in document window

I am using Word 2010 and am in the process of editing a lot of older templates, including updating the compatibility status on many of them. As such, I am constantly opening a variety of template files and related Word docs. It is not unusual to get lost in the shuffle and forget which specific file I am working on.

In earlier versions of Word I recall the user could select to have the complete file name of any document that was being worked on displayed across the top of the window, including the file extension, such as .doc, .dotx, etc. I cannot find a way to make this happen in Word 2010.

Whatever file I happen to be working on only shows the file name at the top of the window without the extension. Consequently, I often find myself getting lost, forgetting whether I am editing the template or an actual Word doc. Before, I could just glance at the top of the window and take a quick glance at the full file name.

I have checked everything under Options and other help files, but can't find any guidance regarding how to make this happen. Any suggestions? Thanks.
