Hi Jamal,

I suspect you have the spaces between the Style separators formatted as hidden text.

Hi Jamal,

Hiding/unhiding text is controlled via Format|Font.

Thank you

why adding a new style separator just after an existing one turns it to be hidden automatically????? and then unhide it removes the second style separator!!!!!

very confusing!!!!

why unhiding the text removes the styles separator?

Please, if you look at the attached images, then the text was not hidden, but when the style separator is added, then the text becomes hidden automatically, and if i unhide the text then the style separator is removed!!!!!!!

what might be behind this very confusing behaviour?

thank you

Hi Jamal,

If I create the spaces before applying the Style separator, the spaces do not get converted to hidden text when the Style separator is applied. I suspect you problem is caused by adding the spaces after the Style separator was applied. If you change the format of the spaces (not the Style separator), the problem should be solved.

Thank you Paul for clarifying this confusing behavior of Word! it did work!

then the secrete is to have a space before adding the second style separator otherwise whatever between these two separators will be hidden! quite strange!

i couldn't figure it out myself!

thank you

Regards

Jamal
