Section break center page
A while ago I was able to end a page by using section break and it would start the next chapter on the next page in the center, though now the page break and section break do the same thing, which is just start the new page at the top. I need the page to start in the center. Could someone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong please.
Thanks. |

You need to have the style for your Chapter Title set with substantial space before.
Or, do that and use a Frame. Then you would not need the section break. Space Before Heading at beginning of page - Using Frames |

Thank you mate,
I'll give that a go. Is there any reason you could think of why it worked with a simple section break before and not now? Or was it perhaps because I had these other settings done without knowing it? |

None that I can think of. Note, if this is the only reason for the section break, use style formatting for your chapter title.

In recent versions of Word, Spacing Before added to a style will be suppressed at the top of a page, unless the page is started by a Next Page, Odd Page or Even Page section break.
Your description suggests that this is not happening. Could you perhaps upload an example document that illustrates the issue?
