Question Print page 3 on the back of page 1.

I am using the field "MACRO BUTTON" for the user to click and type entries. If the document goes to two pages, that will push the sign in sheet to page 3. If that happens, I need page 3, the sign in sheet, to print on the back of page 1 regardless of how many pages the document ends up having.

Thanks,

This is an interesting problem.
Since your requirement is just for the printout to be that way, I would be inclined to use a macro to print the document. The macro would basically specify the print order (eg print pages first page, last page, the rest of the pages).
Another alternative is to simply bring the sign in page to the front of the document and after printing the document double-sided, turn over the top page of the print out.

1. Is the entire document being printed in duplex?
2. How much is on this sign-in sheet?

One way to do this would be to put this in a very large table (with or without borders) that is inside an IF Field in the header which only prints on page 2. The table would be large enough to push all other content off the page.

The document will only ever be 3 pages. Page 1 has a table with MACRO BUTTONS in each row soliciting information in rows 1 - 20. If any of the rows go to more than 3 lines Word (Ribbon) will push it to 2 pages of solicited data and then the sign-in would be pushed to page 3. I would like the sign-in to print on the back of page 1 regardless if there is 2 pages or 3.

Actually moving the sign-in sheet to page one and printing duplex works. However, I am not sure how to number page 3 if there is a page 3. Essentially, I will have no page number on page 2, which will actually be page 1 of the document (as you suggested). Then page 2 of the document which will actually be the first page of the document when printed out will have no page number. I know how to number these pages 1 as 2 and 2 with no page numbers. What I am not sure how to do is to have page 3 number as page 3, if there is a page 3. Wow, that is quite a mouth full.

I take it you want a page number on page 3.
You do not want a page number on page 1 or 2.

In your footer place the following field.
{ IF { PAGE } = 3 3 }
00 deleteme 1.png

This will only print a number on page 3. If you wanted it to say "Page 3" you would use the following instead:
{ IF { PAGE } = 3 "Page 3" }

You can't simply type this. The { } field delimiters must be inserted by Word using Ctrl+F9.

IF Field

The issues are solved. Thank you so very much for your assistance. If this Forum wasn't available, who would teach me how to do these things I know can be done but just don't remember or know how.

Much appreciated!

You are welcome. I don't know about Andrew, but I learned most of what I know about Word on forums like this. It is nice to be able to pay forward.

Since you brought the signatures page to the top of the doc and don't want a page number on it then you could use a "different first page" to customise the footer on that page only. You can set the section page numbering to begin at 0 if you want the 'second' page to be page 1. The 'third' page when it appears would be page 2.
