Default Export and Import Microsoft Shortcuts onto a new computer

I work in IT for a company, and we are building a new machine for someone. The person we are constructing the machine for uses a lot of custom shortcuts (Like Ctrl + Space for printing) We are trying to find a way to move these over from her old machine to the new one, so we don't have to recreate every single one.

We tried going to options -> customize ribbon -> then exporting the shortcuts, but exporting and importing using that method doesn't seem to work.

Any help/ideas would be appreciated! (I sent in a ticket with Microsoft, but as you would expect, have not received a call yet...)

The following works with 32-bit versions of Word.
Chris Woodman's Keyboard Shortcut Organizer
Look below for a version that works on the Ribbon. Note the requirements. It requires that Trust Access to the VBA model be checked. I generally leave this unchecked except when I want to use this.

In Word, keyboard shortcuts are stored in templates or documents. You would need to know the templates.
Once you have them in a separate template, that template can be loaded as a Global Template on new computers.

Thanks for the response Charles!

We experimented with your top method and didn't get much success. However, I had no idea that the shortcuts were attached to templates. That seems like a strange design decision to me by Microsoft...

Nonetheless, we were able to use that information to access the template files on the users original computer and move them over via flashdrive. That worked successfully. We have yet to see any negative effects.

Thanks again!

If it is the normal.dotm template, rename it and make it a global template. Word misbehaves with shared and transferred normal templates when they are used as normal templates.
