Creating a Teacher's Edition: Shrinking pages but retaining page breaks
Good Morning! I have a workbook that I've created in Word, but I need to create the Teacher's Edition. I need to shrink down the text on each page so that I can add notes at the bottom and in the margins. I've considered using the Review mode for comments in the margins. Is there an easier way? |

This is not going to be simple because Word's concept of pages and our concept are different. Word is not a page-oriented program.
If each page in your document starts with a heading style with formatting of page-break-before that should keep your pagination. You will want to use styles for all of your formatting. Have another set of styles set for the teacher's edition with smaller fonts and right-indent settings. Your parenthetical notes can be in Text boxes that float in the right margin or at the bottom. You can use the Comments on the Review tab. |
