formatting numbers: 14'342 -> 14'000 ?
Hi everyone,
when working with formulas, like { = 7123 * 2 }, I'd like to format the result in a way that it is not 14'246 but 14'000. In other words: rounded to the next thousand. Is this possible with anything similar to \# "#'##0 ? Thank you for your support. BR Ghaffy |

Depending on what you're trying to achieve:
{=INT(7123*2/100)*100} {=ROUND(7123*2,-3) plus your switch. To see how to do this and a wide range of other calculations in Word, check out my Microsoft Word Field Maths Tutorial, in the 'Sticky' thread at the top of this forum: https://www.msofficeforums.com/word/...-tutorial.html

Thank you, Paul. This helped.
I missed somehow that the ROUND function is also available in Word. And best regards from Austria to Australia! Ghaffy |
