Headers & Footers for Chapters
I am creating the final version of my thirty-eight chapter novel. I would like to have the header of each chapter be the name of the chapter. The footer of every chapter should be the sequential page number of the entire document. This is a common book format. How do you get MSWord to do it? I've tried using section breaks (Next Page option) between chapters and pasting in the chapter names into header. But, what happens is, the last chapter name pasted into the header appears in all chapter headers. Is there a document level control of Headers and Footers? You don't need Section breaks for this. Simply insert a STYLEREF field into the header referencing whatever Style you've used for the chapter name paragraphs.

Thanks. I'll have to learn about STYLEREF.
