Turn off "Welcome back" popup arrow
Lately I've been getting this when I open a Word document I've been heavily editing. How do I turn this feature off?

I see information on how to turn this feature off in the Windows registry, but I'm on Mac, and I can find nothing on how to disable it in Mac OS X.

The method to turn off the "Welcome back" prompt in Windows isn't very convenient (because it requires that you prevent access to a certain registry key) and it isn't supported in all versions of Windows.
I suggest that you post feedback for Microsoft in the Uservoice forum at https://word.uservoice.com/forums/304942-word-for-mac.
