Default undo in word 2007

hi all, i am writing a paper and i do many edits, and so i dont exit the document because i want to be able to undo (ctrl z) if i regret later.
is there a way to keep the undo list even if exiting the document? because if i exit it, the redo/undo start and not continue from the beginning of the document was created but the time i opened it again.
thank you

No - but you might find http://www.gmayor.com/SaveVersionsAdd-In.htm useful.

it seems like complicated way. wouldnt it be easier to save document on different names in some new file instead?

Why wouldn't you use Tracked Revisions and then either accept or reject when you want to lock a change in?

That's exactly what it does.

There is a newer version (2016) online. It is a very limited function set but is free.

OfficeLibre is free. It is not Microsoft Office but many people use it.

You can likely pick up a legal copy of Office 2013 online for a lot less than the latest version. For most things it is an improvement over Office 2007.
