Table caption appears in List of Figures
Dear Experts,
How do I fix the problem: my table caption is appearing in both my list of figures and list of tables. It should only appear in list of tables. Can you help? Thank you. |

Both are variations on the Table of Contents field. Take a look at the field for your Table of Tables and take out any switch or Style that would include the Table caption.

Look at the field codes for both TOCs and report back on what the codes are. Those TOCs can be built on styles or on the seq field name. Depending on which ones are used for your TOCs, we can work out what the issue is.

As Guessed suggested, it appears that you have built your list of tables on the style name, which will include all kinds of captions (Word applies the Caption style to all kind of captions that you create).
You can press Alt+F9 to reveal all the field codes.
