Thanks Robert
My Windows is 10 and I need to know how many bits is my Word 2003 so I may know what to use here and similar:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...ails.aspx?id=8
This is enough for now.
AND
I want to get the 2016 version of Word but ONLY word; not Office. I don’t use Excel etc. and I don’t know how the best way to buy it is. Local stores only sell Office and not just word alone. Any suggestions?

You only want Word, I understand.

Office 2019 has been announced for release this fall. That means that many retailers are selling Office 2016 at deep discounts. You can likely get the entire package from a reputable retailer for less than you would pay for Word directly from Microsoft.

Search Google for Office 2016 and Word 2016.

You want to install the 32-bit version. There is no advantage with Word to install the 64-bit version.
All of the above is also true for Office 2010 and 2013.

If you get Office, you would likely find Excel handy for Word Mail Merge.

Office 2003, Word 2003, isn't compatible with Windows 10 and is no longer supported by Microsoft, either. See:
https://support.office.com/en-us/art...4-54f7d7275705
Moreover, even if you do install Word 2003 and get it running on Windows 10 (which is possible), you won't be able to open the more recent file formats without also installing the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack - and that's no longer available.
