Default Trying to align two captions within a frame

I have two images and two captions inside a frame and I want to align them but the align function doesn't do anything when clicked. Thanks for any guidance.

Sean,
You might try using a 1x4 table on that page with Image 1 in Cell 1, Caption 1 in Cell 2, Image 2 in Cell 3, and Caption 2 in Cell 4. You can maneuver the captions however you want using normal style justification, left, center, or right. Delete the borders of the table and voila. That's the best I can do. Best, Mike
