lay-out page
Something has changed when I want to open a new word document. Until a few days ago I saw the space for headnotes and footnotes on the screen.
For one or other reason this has changed, which I find very annoying. Now I get a page which begins with the first line of the body of the text I want to type. Page 2 is separated from page 1 by a line . If I want to restore the lay-out, I have to go to 'footnotes' and choose 'change footnotes'. How can I restore the former lay-out of the page? It's probably very simple, but I don't see it. Tanks. Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 04-03-2018 at 06:01 AM. Reason: Mark as solved |

Presumably, the changed appearance is because someone has unchecked the 'Show white space between pages in Print Layout view' option in File|Options|Display, and/or has saved the document in Draft view and the option to 'Allow opening a document in Draft View' is checked, in File|Options|Advanced>General.
