word jumps around pages when I click between open windows
This is annoying. When I have two word files open and I move or click between them on my dual monitor setup, the curser doesn't go where I click it in the clicked on word file but goes to where the curser was originally active, even if that is three pages higher. I want to be able to edit effectively and not constantly scroll around to find my location. Does anybody know what's happening or if there's a setting I can turn off? This happens even when I don't open the doc through an application but my word files do have ad-ins from the engagement software our firm uses. It kind of looks like it's behaving spastically by jumping around like when you didn't turn off screen updating in excel. There are no apparent macros on the file. I'm not as familiar with macros for word. There are some I didn't make that show up when you click on view macros, but I can't see how they're used in this document. OF course I can't get into them. It's funny it doesn't even ask for a password. It simply says the one macro project (ePace) is unviewable. So it's like they hard-coded it into the file or something? I am not sure it has to do with macros but I thought I'd just throw that out there. It is mildly annoying working with files like this. Thank you! |

Since you're using an addin (which evidently contains macros of its own), the behaviour may be related to that; otherwise, its a display issue you're unlikely to be able to resolve via a Word setting or macro.
