Hi!

Yes you can.

Open your 2 documents.

Click the "View" tab on the Microsoft Word ribbon.

Click the "View Side by Side" command on the Window panel of the View tab.

Click the "Synchronous Scrolling" button on the View tab if you want both documents to scroll simultaneously.

Bye!

Souriane

Soiriane's response may be what you need. You may have to do some arranging.

Word, dating back to the days before Windows, used to be able to open two (or more) documents in one window, with a single set of menus on top. The method recommended gives two windows, each with its own Ribbon.

I believe that there are third-party applications that do it all in one. I know of no way native to Word to do this in recent versions.

Thank you all for your answers. But we need to use split window option because it will have single menu ribbon which suits our requirements. So can I use split window to integrate different documents?

Word can display a single Ribbon with either a horizontal split or side-by-side viewing. All you need do is uncheck the 'Show all windows in the taskbar' option (File|Options|Advanced>Display).
