Angry Changing the format/style for numbered paragraphs AND MAKING THEM STICK!

I DO NOT like the format/style for default numbered paragraphs. I want the number at .5", the tab at 1", and the paragraph to wrap to the beginning of the line. I have tried many times to create a style and save it to my normal template, but every time i then copy that style into a document, it turns back to the default numbering style!!!

HELP!!!

Andrea

The key for numbering is the fourth link JimP gave you.
How to create numbered headings or outline numbering in Ribbon Versions of Word by Shauna Kelly

I note you are using the 64-bit version of Word. There is no reason to use the 64-bit version of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or OneNote. There can be disadvantages in these programs.

High-power users of Excel or Access will benefit from the 64-bit version.
