After editing a Word Doc for a few hours, cannot save
After I am editing a Document, usually after a few hour of it being open, when I hit save, It takes me to the save as pop up and states "We cant't save this file because its's read-only. To keep changes you need to save the Doc with a different name." This is erratic and only happens when I try to save after being in the file editing for a while. It does not happen every time either. Let me know if you know of a fix. |

It's possible you have a cluttered temporary files folder. Orphaned .tmp files can accumulate over time as a result of crashes or shutting down the computer without first exiting all programs. See: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...emporary-files. You might try closing all programs, then navigating to:
C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Local\Temp and deleting anything you find there. Windows might complain a few files are in use, but anything else can go.
