Default Execute autocorrects?

I'm running Word 2013 on Windows 7.

I just resurrected a file that is more than 20 years old and was created on a different system. I turned it into a word document some time ago. The transition was not smooth, and there are dozens of cases where two words were run together or spaces after commas didn't show up. Autocorrect is indicating these with red squiggly underlining and they can be individually corrected by right clicking and selecting the proposed correction. But it would save a hell of a lot of time if I could simply tell word to make all these corrections in one fell swoop, and I can't figure out how to do that. Can it be done? Thanks.

These are not AutoCorrects but anomalies spotted by the spelling checker. At this point, it is one at a time. You can tell Word to accept suggestions from AutoCorrect automatically, but this is a dangerous setting. There are not suggestions from AutoCorrect for every spelling or typing mistake.

You can run AutoFormat as well. I don't know that this will improve your document. I would suggest doing it on a copy and see whether you like what you get.

Thanks. How exactly can I tell word to accept autocorrect automatically?

I'll check, but I'm pretty sure it is only for spellcheck as you type, not for a recheck.

I'm pretty sure that this will not help with your problem and is a dangerous option to leave checked.

That could be fixed with a wildcard Find/Replace, where:
Find =,([A-Za-z])
Replace = , \1
Note that spaces before numbers are left alone (in case they're thousand separators).
