Default In Word2010, When 2 documents are open, I try to save edits in one, it flips to 2nd document

User is working in a law office and does case reviews:

When I'm in Word 2010, I often have at least 2 documents open. These documents are in 2 tabs. While in 1 document, I'll make edits and changes and periodically do a save in order to not loose changes. When I do a save whether its a ctrl S or hit the save button in Word, it will switch to the other\another open Word document in the background. If I'm not paying attention, I will start making changes to another document.

Why won't it stay on the same page after saving!!
