hi everyone,

how r u doing?

i have something like 400 footnotes in a text.docx file and i want to change the mark/number at the footnote itself (i want to make it bold and with no superscript characters) but not at the mark/number at the text.

how can it be done please?
help

In 2010, it looks as though Word uses the same style for the call-out in the text and for the footnote numbering; if that's so, I'm not sure there would be an easy way to apply a different style to the two numbers.

i'm using 2013... not 2010.
i can use 2016 if u think it will help.

Word uses the 'Footnote Reference' Style for the footnote references in both the body and the footnotes themselves. Accordingly, just changing the Style definition won't do. What you could do, though, is:
1. Open the footnote range (i.e. click on any footnote)
2. Press Ctrl-A to select all footnotes
3. Use Find/Replace to find all content in the 'Footnote Reference' Style and make it bold, not superscripted. Answer 'no' to the do you want to continue' prompt.
