Hello from Buenos Aires, Argentina‼
Hello all‼ I´m new here.
I usually make ASCII drawings like this in the pic below. They are electrical or electronic drawing, using Edit.com in a pure DOS Machine (AMD486 + DOS7.10). I want to open them with Word 2003 or Workpad, but it becomes unreadable. I know there is any way to watch it wright, but I don't know how. Any help welcome. Best regards. (I apologize if my English is not too good). |

Alternatively, how may I force to open this dialog box?
Many thanks in advance. |

I haven't used the ASCII approach to making line graphics since Word 5.0 … I see there are still line-drawing characters available in many Unicode-aware fonts, but in general I prefer to edit technical drawings in a specialised tool. Then I save a copy in a graphic format and reference it in Word.

OK. A later search in the web, with lots of time, I found a solution.
It happens that the above mentioned ASCII file is (for me) a easy way to maintain a kind of spread sheet where I can merge mechanical, electrical drawings and text, and also wasting few disk space. I'm currently still using DOS at house, in an AMD 486 (In fact I have 4 of them), and I resist to migrate to newer machines and or OS, because I like to continue using them. In other words, I strongly prefer DOS over any kind of windows, although here in the job, I'm using a XP machine. ITOH, many thanks for the reply. |
